Hi, all! I’m back with another hand-drawn doodle flowers watercolor card. I just love to draw flowers, it is relaxing and it gives me a chance to get to know the ZIG clean watercolor brush markers. Previously, I had purchased the 48 colors set a while back, and I tried to use them all on the first piece.
Drawing flower doodles
I started drawing on an A4 piece of Canson Montval watercolor paper. I am also using the Uni-Pen Fineliner. Usually, it is easier to start with the big shapes and fill in details at the end. Still, I do not have perfect control of my drawing, but I think I am improving.
Because the initial piece is so big, I did not have the heart to cut it for a card. Thus I decided I will frame it, but before I die cut the HUGS word from MFT.
Coloring with watercolor
Once I finished with the black fine liner it is time to use all the colors in the set. For the first piece, it taught me what colors I have and how well I am able to do shading. But I wanted to try more things, so I started a smaller experiment where I only used a few colors and made the background black.
As the last experiment, I just stamped a sentiment, on top of my doodle with black ink.
In the end, I had two cards and one framed piece, not bad for a night’s work.
